The Commissioner of Police in charge of the Nigeria Police Air Wing, CP Martin O. Nwogoh, has celebrated the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, on his 50th birthday, commending his contributions to policing operations and collaborative efforts to strengthen aerial security in Lagos State.
In a congratulatory message marking Ogunsan’s golden jubilee, CP Nwogoh acknowledged the LSSTF chief’s continued support for policing and security initiatives, particularly his donation of an operational vehicle to the Lagos Hangar, which he said had significantly enhanced operational effectiveness. “We acknowledge with appreciation your continued support for policing and security initiatives in Lagos State, particularly your generous donation of operational vehicle to the Lagos Hangar. This has contributed significantly to our operational effectiveness,” Nwogoh stated.
The Police chief also praised Ogunsan’s initiative to introduce helicopter aerial patrols in Lagos State, describing the collaboration among the LSSTF, Lagos State Police Command and Nigeria Police Air Wing as a commendable step towards strengthening security operations. “Your commitment to public safety is further reflected in your initiative to introduce helicopter aerial patrols in Lagos State, in collaboration with the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, Lagos State Police Command and the Nigeria Police Air Wing,” he said.
According to CP Nwogoh, the initiative has helped deepen cooperation among the participating institutions while contributing to improved security and public confidence across Lagos. “This commendable initiative has strengthened operational collaboration and contributed to enhanced security and confidence of Lagosians,” he added.
The commendation highlights the importance of sustained partnerships between security institutions and organisations such as the LSSTF in equipping officers and improving their capacity to respond to security challenges. Helicopter aerial patrols can complement ground operations by extending surveillance coverage and supporting a more coordinated approach to policing.
Through its mandate to provide equipment, logistics and training for security agencies, the LSSTF has supported operational interventions aimed at strengthening the effectiveness of security personnel in Lagos State.
As Ogunsan marks his 50th birthday, the Nigeria Police Air Wing wished him continued success and further opportunities to contribute to public safety. “As you celebrate this Golden Jubilee, we wish you good health, continued success and greater accomplishments in the years ahead. May the coming years bring you fulfilment and further opportunities to contribute meaningfully to a better secured society,” CP Nwogoh stated.
He concluded the message with warm wishes to the LSSTF chief, saying: “Congratulations and best wishes for many more years of impactful service, please.”
