new PRO of Enugu State Forest Guards
In a move aimed at strengthening strategic communication and public engagement, the Commander of the Enugu State Forest Guards, DCP (Dr.) Olasoji Akinbayo, has approved the appointment of Miss Uliaga Geraldine Chiagozie as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Command. The appointment reflects the Command’s commitment to building a professional and responsive communication structure that will enhance public confidence, promote transparency and strengthen collaboration between the Forest Guards and the people of Enugu State in the collective fight against insecurity.
A native of Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State, Miss Uliaga was born on May 12, 1992, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education (English Education). Her educational background and communication skills are expected to play a significant role in projecting the activities of the Command and fostering effective engagement with stakeholders, the media and members of the public.
Announcing the appointment, the Commander of the Enugu State Forest Guards, DCP (Dr.) Olasoji Akinbayo, described effective communication as an indispensable component of modern security management, noting that public trust is built through openness, timely information and responsible engagement.
He charged the newly appointed Public Relations Officer to discharge her responsibilities with the highest level of professionalism, integrity and dedication.
According to him, “Your appointment comes with the responsibility of serving as the public face of the Command. You must ensure that accurate information reaches the public promptly, promote the positive image of the Forest Guards, strengthen public confidence in our operations and support our mission of protecting lives, forests and communities across Enugu State through effective communication and responsible public engagement.”
Responding to her appointment, Miss Uliaga expressed appreciation to the Commander for the confidence reposed in her, pledging to justify the trust through diligent service, professionalism and unwavering commitment to advancing the vision and objectives of the Enugu State Forest Guards.Her appointment takes immediate effect.
