For those of us who type a lot on WhatsApp, we were excited when WhatsApp permitted edits of our thoughts within 15 minutes of writing. We no longer have to delete entirely as we used to.
But then I woke up this morning to write a text and voila, I couldn’t find ‘edit’ any longer on the drop-down in the three dots. Where is this thing? What’s this flip-flop policy with WhatsApp, I wondered.
I looked carefully to find out that there is an update on the app which removed the ‘edit’ from the drop-down in the three dots to replace it with a pencil icon on the upper horizontal row. There it is, if you click the pencil icon, you can edit as before.
The pencil icon, which is four places to the left of the three dots, is the new abode for those of us who do need to edit our thoughts when writing. Now you have the newest update on your favorite social media app!
