In a major political awakening at the grassroots, the supporters of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, have intensified their mobilisation efforts across Agege Local Government Area and Orile-Agege LCDA with the inauguration of the PBAT/KOH Agege Executive Forum.
The strategic political structure is designed to deepen voter engagement and strengthen community-based participation ahead of the 2027 elections. The movement officially commenced its programs with a groundbreaking campaign event at the State Senior High School, Mulero/Oyewole Street, Agege, today Sunday 24th May 2926.
The Inauguration event reflected strong confidence within the citizenry about the leadership capacity, administrative experience, and developmental credentials of both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat to seek re-election and gubernatorial position in less than a year from now.
It also reflected enthusiasm, solidarity, and renewed political consciousness as party faithful, women groups, youth organisations, market leaders, ward coordinators, artisans, transport workers, and members of the Arewa community turned out in large numbers to declare support for the movement.
Attendees at the event unanimously agreed that electoral victories are no longer won merely on billboards, media campaigns, or political rallies alone, but through strategic grassroots penetration such as door-to-door engagement, house-to-house mobilisation, market outreach, church-to-church interactions, mosque-to-mosque sensitisation, and direct community conversations.

In his address, the Convener of the PBAT/KOH Agege Executive Forum, Mr. Adeniran Israel, described the initiative as beyond an ordinary political gathering, but a collective mission aimed at sustaining development, continuity, and purposeful governance in Lagos State and Nigeria at large. “This campaign is not merely about politics; it is about sustaining progress and ensuring a better future for our communities,” he stated.
According to him, the PBAT/KOH movement is anchored on the leadership vision and progressive ideals associated with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat. This is a vision that prioritises competence, experience, infrastructural expansion, economic growth, education, empowerment, security, and improved welfare for the people.
He noted that Agege has consistently remained one of the most politically conscious communities in Lagos State, and Nigeria at large.
Mr. Adeniran further charged members of the mobilisation structure to remain peaceful, disciplined, focused, and committed throughout the campaign process while intensifying grassroots engagement across all wards and streets within Agege and Orile-Agege.
The Convener also called on youths, artisans, market men and women, transport unions, religious organisations, and various community associations to fully embrace the movement and actively participate in the ongoing mobilisation exercise. “Every vote, every polling unit, and every ward will play a critical role in determining the electoral success of the movement in future political contests,”he said.
Also speaking, Mr. Akinbode Odekunle emphasized the significance of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), describing them as the most powerful democratic instrument available to citizens in shaping governance and determining leadership outcomes.
He explained that the “No PVC, No Membership” initiative was deliberately introduced to promote political consciousness, civic responsibility, and voter participation among residents across Agege and Orile-Agege.
“The slogan is not intended as a mere political catchphrase but as a strategic mobilisation tool designed to encourage eligible voters to register, obtain their PVCs, and become active participants in the democratic process,” Mr. Odekunle said.
In a strong show of women’s participation and market solidarity, the Iya Oloja of Orile-Agege, Chief Mrs. Kemi Taiwo, openly declared the support of market women in the area for the PBAT/KOH movement. She urged women across Agege and Orile-Agege to come out in large numbers to support the initiative while emphasizing the importance of ensuring that their votes count during elections.
“Our women are fully ready to support this movement because we believe in leadership that will continue to bring development to our communities,” she stated.
In the same vein, the Arewa Youth Leader, Aminu Saki, alongside members of the Arewa community in Agege, publicly declared support for the PBAT/KOH 2027 movement.Speaking on behalf of the Northern community, Saki assured organisers of their readiness to contribute meaningfully to grassroots mobilisation and peaceful political participation across the area. He asserted the need for unity, peaceful coexistence, and inclusive participation in the democratic process while pledging the support of the Arewa community toward the success of the movement.
The event witnessed impressive participation from coordinators, supporters, and stakeholders representing several wards across Agege Local Government and Orile-Agege LCDA, including Wards A, B, C, D, E, and F, all of whom turned out massively to demonstrate solidarity and commitment to the movement.
