In a remarkable demonstration of compassion, community service, and festive goodwill, the PBAT/KOH Agege Executive Forum today Tuesday, May 26, brought smiles to hundreds of families across Agege LGA and Orile-Agege LCDA through a large-scale food distribution programme organised to mark the 2026 Eid Al-Adha celebration.

The humanitarian outreach, which attracted massive participation from residents and community stakeholders, reflected the forum’s growing commitment to grassroots welfare and social support, particularly during important festive seasons when many families require assistance and encouragement.

The event, held at State Senior High School, Mulero/Oyewole Street, Agege, witnessed a large turnout of beneficiaries who gathered peacefully to receive food items distributed by the forum as part of efforts to promote love, unity, peace, and happiness within the community during the Salah festivities.

Over 500 residents benefited from the outreach programme, receiving essential food items including bags of rice, groundnut oil, and seasoning cubes to support their families during the celebration period.

Speaking during the exercise, the Convener of the PBAT/KOH Agege Executive Forum, Adeniran Israel stated that the initiative was inspired by the true spirit of Salah, which promotes sacrifice, kindness, unity, and care for one another, especially the less privileged in society.

He explained that the outreach programme was organised in fulfillment of the promise to remain connected to the grassroots and continuously support Agege and Orile-Agege residents through meaningful humanitarian interventions capable of easing economic challenges and spreading joy among families.

Mr. Adeniran further noted that beyond politics, community service and people-oriented programmes remain central to the vision of the Forum, stressing that no celebration is complete when vulnerable members of society are left behind.

The distribution exercise was also aimed at strengthening communal harmony and reminding residents that the festive season should be a period of sharing, togetherness, and compassion.

One of the beneficiaries, Chief Mrs. Kemi Taiwo, the Iyalaje of Orile-Agege, expressed deep appreciation to the organisers for the thoughtful gesture and support extended to residents during the Salah celebration.

She commended the PBAT/KOH Agege Executive Forum for remembering the needs of ordinary people and for demonstrating genuine concern for the welfare of families within the community. She also offered prayers for the continued growth, success, and impact of the organisers, noting that acts of kindness such as the outreach programme would continue to strengthen the bond between community leaders and residents.

Several other beneficiaries equally expressed happiness and gratitude, applauding the forum for its generosity, organisation, and commitment to community welfare.
