May Nigeria be that land in Jesus name

“However, I delight in a land where justice flows like a river and where true righteousness rolls like a steady flowing stream.” – Amos 5:24 TPT

Someone shared this Scripture above with me this morning, and my immediate response, subconscious, was ‘May Nigeria be that land in Jesus name’

The system called Nigeria as it stands is so broken that it is apparently working against its people. After I gave a police officer NGN500 for hailing us ‘happy Father’s Day’ on the road, the car haling driver I joined on Sunday was telling me how that a Police friend of his, a widow who also lost her Policeman husband years ago to the same job, was shot at an operation and all her colleagues – from DPO down to the lowest cadre in the division – could gather for her after leaving hospital is NGN 50,000. The driver added that he is also ashamed to call the woman because he cannot afford to give her anything.

Tell me, someone who was shot in the face of battle, is that not supposed to be covered under an effective Police welfare support system? Yet it is the same people whom we have handed arms to protect us?

The system is so broken. We need prayers. We need action. We need the fear of God. We need wisdom. We need funds. We need political will as leaders. We need empathy as followers. We need a lot to remedy the situation.

Again, I respond: May Nigeria be that land that was prophesied in Amos 5:24 in Jesus name. Amen
