Reaffirming its unwavering commitment to strengthening the security architecture of Lagos State, The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has intensified operational support for the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) Lagos with the donation of critical security gear, including bulletproof vests and ballistic helmets aimed at enhancing personnel protection, rapid response capacity and operational effectiveness.
The intervention formed part of ongoing efforts by the Fund to ensure that frontline security personnel serving in Lagos are adequately equipped to tackle emerging security threats and sustain public safety across the state.

During his official visit to the RRS at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja, the Executive Secretary/CEO of the LSSTF, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, emphasized the Fund’s resolve to continue supporting security agencies with modern operational tools needed to maintain law and order in Nigeria’s commercial nerve centre and West Africa’s economic hub, Lagos.
In a symbolic display of appreciation for the sustained support from the LSSTF, RRS officers led by their Commander, CSP Shola Jejeloye, staged a ceremonial guard of honour for Dr. Ogunsan during the visit.

The officers, who turned out in large numbers for the parade, were fully kitted in recently donated anti-riot gear provided by the LSSTF, reflecting the abiding synergy between the Fund and the elite police unit.
Dr. Ogunsan, who inspected the parade and received the salute of the officers, commended the RRS for its professionalism, discipline and dedication to protecting lives and property in Lagos.
He reiterated that the safety and stability of Lagos require continuous collaboration, strategic investment and institutional support for security personnel working daily to keep the state secure.
