Former Executive Secretary/CEO of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Abdurrazaq Balogun, has extended warm birthday wishes to the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, applauding his outstanding contributions to policing and national security over the years.

In a goodwill message, Dr. Balogun described the IGP as a seasoned officer whose over three decades in the Nigeria Police Force have been marked by professionalism, operational excellence, and people-centered policing. Since his appointment as the 23rd Inspector-General of Police in 2026, Disu has continued to bring his wealth of experience to bear in strengthening the Force.

He particularly highlighted Disu’s impactful tenure as Commander of the Lagos State Rapid Response Squad (RRS). Under his leadership, the RRS adopted proactive strategies such as crime mapping and community-based policing, significantly improving public confidence and safety.

He further recalled Disu’s international exposure, including leading Nigeria’s police contingent to the African Union Mission in Sudan, a role that underscored his leadership capacity on the global stage.

“IGP Disu has consistently demonstrated courage, innovation, and a deep commitment to public safety. His leadership continues to inspire confidence in Nigeria’s security architecture,” Balogun stated.

He wished the IGP continued strength, wisdom, and success in his efforts to advance effective and modern policing across the country.
