former Vice President of Nigeria
Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has introduced a new online platform that will allow Nigerians to ask questions about his political record, policy proposals and vision for the country ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The platform, named Ask AA, went live at 8:30 p.m. yesterday Thursday, October 15, according to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Campaign Council.
Phrank Shaibu, the council’s Director of Strategic Communication, announced the initiative, describing it as an avenue for improving direct communication between Atiku and Nigerians.

The platform will allow citizens to raise questions and make contributions on issues affecting the country, including economic management, insecurity, unemployment, technological development and the rising cost of living.
According to the campaign council, Atiku intends to answer questions submitted through the portal personally, while members of his media team will also assist in responding to inquiries.
The initiative is aimed at giving Nigerians an opportunity to assess the former vice-president’s positions on key national issues and seek clarification on his proposed solutions to the country’s challenges.
Shaibu said the platform was designed to make engagement with the electorate more practical and focused on solving problems. He added that the initiative reflected Atiku’s interest in using technology to improve public communication and promote more effective governance.
To reach people who may not have reliable internet access, the campaign council said it was also planning to introduce a radio interface that would enable residents of underserved communities to participate.
Announcing the initiative on social media, Atiku said the platform was based on his belief that leaders must maintain direct communication with the people they seek to serve. He argued that governance should not be separated from citizens by bureaucratic barriers, adding that public participation was essential to building the Nigeria many citizens desire.
Atiku described Ask AA as an avenue for transparency, accountability and open dialogue, saying Nigerians would be able to examine his economic record, question his policy proposals and suggest ideas for national development.
He also disclosed plans to telephone selected participants who submit their contact details through the platform, allowing him to hear firsthand about their experiences and the difficulties they encounter in their daily lives.
The former vice-president encouraged Nigerians to use the platform to submit questions and recommendations, stressing the importance of listening to citizens in the pursuit of transparent and technology-driven governance.
Atiku served as Nigeria’s vice-president between 1999 and 2007 and has contested the presidency several times. His latest initiative comes as political activities and preparations begin to gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general election.
