The groundbreaking Gospel musical talent show, SPAW Talent Quest 2025 is already drawing attention from Christian communities and music lovers nationwide and globally. The musical talent discovery program is structured to identify and mentor rising Gospel stars through a combination of training sessions, performances, and live showcases leading up to the grand finale.
The convener, Dr. Ajoke Ogunsan revealed that the SPAW Talent Hunt Show is a divine vision to raise a generation of young people who will echo God’s excellence across the world through Gospel music. The SPAW initiative – an acronym for Sound Praise and Worship – was birthed from a divine nudge to give talented young Christian music ministers a platform to shine.
Speaking in an exclusive interview at the SPAW Talent Quest, Dr. Ajoke Ogunsan with the stage name Ajokesings revealed: ‘SPAW 2025 is a vision that God placed in my heart to bring young people together, those who have talent in music, and help them showcase their God-given gift to the world.’
She explained that the project is not merely a talent show, but a kingdom-driven platform designed to polish raw potential and nurture it into purpose which will serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
‘Our God is a God of excellence. Our God is an Excellent God. If we must reflect Him, then excellence must show in our craft, our sound, and our presentation,’ she declared.
‘Many of these young people have skills, but they need to put in effort so that the light can shine and everyone will glorify God through them. We will provide mentoring, training, and the opportunity to express what God has placed inside them,’ she added.
Dr. Ogunsan emphasized that beyond music, the initiative carries a transformational mission to help young people discover and fulfill their divine calling. ‘We are going to ensure that they fulfill their God-given purpose by mentoring and showcasing them to the world, so that what God has given them is not relegated to the background.’
As excitement builds toward the grand finale, Dr. Ogunsan expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who have made the journey possible. ‘I want to thank my sponsors and my supporters; they are wonderful people who have come en masse to support me,’ she said.
She also extended appreciation to the judges, coaches, and contestants for their dedication and faith. ‘I want to thank my judges and coaches. I want to also thank the contestants for coming. I want to appreciate my fans who have come out for this grand finale. We will all enjoy ourselves in the presence of the Lord.’
SPAW 2025 promises to be more than a stage as it envisions a future where Gospel excellence will become a cultural force. SPAW 2025 is a movement that will light up Nigeria’s Gospel landscape and inspire a generation to let their light shine for God.
