It was so good to listen to Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat marshal his ‘Ileri Eko, Lagos Promise’ manifesto to Nigerians today. Cerebral mind, you can feel the thinking through that’s gone into his speech.
But I am concerned, is 100 not too much? Sometimes I feel Nigerian politicians say too much and then end up delivering too little. We have seen that narrative play out for so long that citizens are tired of promises. They want to see results.
Personally, I would rather that a politician focus on two major stressors for Nigerians and go full throttle to deliver those two issues.
Anyways, Dr. Hamzat has asked Lagosians to take him by his words, and even went ahead to quote God’s word from both the Bible and the Quran. Good luck to him on his campaign.
