A dearly beloved Man of GOD shared the amusing story of how he had been seated beside an Egyptian on a flight, and how all scriptures pertaining to Egypt had come rushing into his mind; like, “the Egyptians you see today, you shall see again no more forever.” – Exodus 14:13
Yesterday, Egypt more or less reenacted that scripture: they conceded 3 goals in 14 minutes against the defending champions, Argentina, and ‘disappeared’ from the 2026 World Cup. They went the way of Senegal, throwing away a 2 goal lead; and committed the error of Africa: inability to FOCUS, ‘roast our GAME’ (Proverbs 12:27), and hold on to what is graciously delivered to us till the end (Revelation 3:11). No more, in JESUS Name.
My Recommendation:
let all our leaders in Africa (presidents, VPs, governors, senators, and judges), ‘carry their heads’ to the Atlantic Ocean for cleansing. And, they should do it very close to the Bermuda Triangle, so that the bad aura on their heads may disappear, and never reappear, ever again! Know what am sayin?! ‘Awon olorikori!’
News Behind the News!
The image of the Israeli flag was raised in the stands by Argentina supporters just moments after Lionel Messi scored the equalizing goal to make the score 2-2, completing part of a dramatic 3-2 comeback victory for the Argies. The act was widely interpreted as a direct political taunt, directed at Egypt’s head coach, Hossam Hassan. In Egypt’s previous World Cup knockout-stage match against Australia, Hassan had celebrated their victory on the pitch by waving a large Palestinian flag and dedicating the win to the people of Gaza. Hmmmm!
Hossam Hassan is assisted by his twin brother, Ibrahim Hassan, who serves as the Egypt national football team’s director. The legendary identical twins have spent almost their entire playing and coaching careers side by side. In their current roles, Hossam is the head coach while Ibrahim leads the backroom staff as the team.
GOD is AWESOME!
