Churchwide, at the HarvestHouse Nation, this entire month of April, we have focused our attention on reading through all 4 Gospels, taking it 3 chapters per day.
So April 1, we did Matthew 1-3 and like that into Mark, and Luke is rounding up today, then we take the last stretch of John to the end of the month. That’s a tremendous 89 chapters in all. I have read the Bible all through before but have never read the Gospels in 1 month. This is a first for me!
Apart from the great spiritual depth of knowledge, one thing I have also learned during the course of the month is that when you want to do something consistently, don’t miss a day at all.
But if you miss 1 day, don’t miss the second consecutive day. If you do, there is a high tendency that you may start missing it like that until you abandon the project entirely.
To pick it up again, be assured that it is a begin-again process. But it’s better to begin again than to abandon. So, please begin again and keep it going. The result outweighs the effort.
