In the spirit of the Christmas season and the upliftment of peace, harmony, and security in Nigeria, foremost security consultant and Managing Director/CEO of Badinson Security, Dr. Matthew Ibadin has urged Nigerians to eschew bitterness and hate towards Nigeria citing that the country is a great country by every standard. He made this affirmation at TheMediaGood Newspaper STUPENDOUS LOVE Carol and Hymns Concert which was held on Sunday 1st December 2024 at The Novus Centre, 12k Nana Okuribido Street, Ismail Estate, opposite Maryland Mall, Lagos. The eminent Christian in the marketplace was also honored with the TheMediaGood Newspaper Defender of the Faith (TNDFA) Award for enthroning kingdom standards.
The Chairman of PCRC, Victoria Island, Dr. Matthew Ibadin while addressing the Christian congregation in the charged atmosphere of high praise, carols and hymns reinforced: ‘This country is a great country. Go to America, Canada, people built those countries, we need to build our own. We have Nigeria and the rest. If we get it right in Nigeria, I believe those people abroad, even foreigners will troop in. In those days, things were working fine that when you go to school, you eat well and the government pays you bursary and I believe one day, we will get there.’
He charged Nigerians irrespective of tribe, religion, and creed, ‘We must have the consciousness to see what we can do for our country. Let’s not be bitter about Nigeria rather let’s be patient with Nigeria. The truth is that Nigeria was not destroyed by this government or Tinubu or Jonathan, Nigeria was destroyed a long time ago even before the military. I remember that my father and mother have been complaining since so I realized that even we are the problem of Nigeria.’
‘All of us have our times and seasons. God is going to call us one day but God will not call Nigeria. Nigeria will remain, it is the people that will fade away. That’s why we must have the spirit of forgiveness especially because we are Christians. We must have the consciousness that God can use us as apostles of peace. We don’t have another country. I beg you’, Dr. Ibadin pleaded.
On his part, the Editor of TheMediaGood Newspaper who is also the Convener of the Carol Concert, Abayomi Oyelami hinted: ‘Africa is not cursed, Nigeria is not cursed but there are things that we must do. There are 7 mountains of influence as promoted by an elite group called The Council of African Apostles comprising the likes of Mensa Otabil and Archbishop Duncan Williams of Ghana, Bishop Mike Okonkwo and Matthew Ashimolowo of Nigeria, Tudor Bismark of Zimbabwe, among others that we are supposed to focus on as Africans in order for Africa to take her pride of place in the comity of nations.’
The Christian event powered by one of Nigeria’s finest media brand, TheMediaGood Newspaper provided a perfect opportunity for the media organization to present its prestigious Defender of the Faith Award (TNDFA) to 16 eminent Christians ‘who are not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ’ in their various mountains of influence.
