There is a picture quite circulated widely in the public, especially when you attend trainings where visioning is discussed. It is the picture of a cat looking at a mirror but seeing the image of a lion. If you haven’t seen it before, I attached it to this piece.
That picture formed the basis as I engaged with my teenagers in church today on the subject of CHANGE. This is in light of Apostle Paul’s 2nd Epistle to the Corinthians 3 vs. 18. ‘And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.’ (2 Cor.3:18, AMP). Read it slowly, again and again!
For me, that picture of the cat and lion is instructive. It is almost impossible that a cat will look at a mirror and see a lion. It should see a cat, the exact cat in the NOW!
But the way of the Word of God is different. The way of the Word of God is what makes a cat see a lion. The cat can see that better is ahead and it is within reach. It is what makes a pauper see the prosperous. It is what makes a weak see the whole. It is what makes the NOW see the NEW!
I encourage you today, see the NEW and not the NOW. Come to the Word of God.
