The Vice President of the United States and Presidential Candidate of the Democratic party in this year’s elections, Kamala Harris, today announced the Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, as her running mate for the ticket. This announcement ends the days of waiting on Harris ahead of a busy week which commences full-blown political activities.
TheMediaGood Newspaper can report that the VP Harris had asked Walz over the phone, ‘Listen I want you to do this with me. Let’s do this together. Would you be my running mate?’, a question which was responded in the affirmative ‘I would be honored, Madam Vice President’.
The duo have hit the ground running as they stepped out today to campaign in the battleground states. The first state that the Harris-Walz democratic ticket visited is Philadelphia. In less than 12 hours since the call, the Democratic ticket is reported to have raked in about USD 20 million support.
Mr. Walz is one of the three-man shortlist for the running mate role, the other too being Josh Shapiro and Mark Kelly. Timothy James Walz is an American politician, former schoolteacher, and retired U.S. Army non-commissioned officer.
