When was the last time you attended a Love Feast? A Love Feast, or AGAPE Meal, is a Christian fellowship meal recalling the meals JESUS shared with disciples during his ministry. It is a meal eaten in common by a Christian congregation in token of BROTHERLY LOVE. And, Hebrews 13:1 admonishes, “Let BROTHERLY LOVE continue.”
We, the members of IVCUAF, Oyo State Chapter, had a beautiful Love Feast on Sunday 22nd December, 2024. It was splufik – i.e. splendid and terrific!
It brought back precious old memories of fellowshipping and sharing with one another, just like campus days. I had a great time, and I’m sure every attendee would say the same. It was a Feast of Love. There is Great Joy in sharing and fellowshipping together. What are you SHARING, and who are you SHARING it with?
This is what I wrote on our platform after the program, “Thank you, our dearly beloved execs, for putting together the Love Feast. I probably would not have forgiven myself if I had missed all the delicacies we ate at the program, especially the IKOKORE you packaged for me. Ah! Whoever brought that IKOKORE will enter heaven o (O ma rorun wo se!) Gbogbo wa naa la ma make e to heaven, loruko JESU KRISTI
If you were not at that program on Sunday, you missed o. In fact, you need to go and do restitution to, and for yourself. You missed o, and it shouldn’t happen again! The only question bothering my mind now is, “Can we do it again this coming Sunday. Good food good o! Awoof no dey run belle o, and especially when it’s freely flowing in the Household of Faith
I LOVE THIS FAMILY OF GOD – IVCUAF!
SHALOM.”
