The Biblical story of the young Israeli, Joseph who came into Egypt as a slave and ended up being no. 2 citizen in Egypt after interpreting Pharaoh's difficult dream
Joseph stands before Pharaoh

As we rounded off a CAPRO meeting yesterday, the Zonal Director led us in prayer. He mentioned how GOD humbled Pharaoh, and all Egypt, by making him see that only Joseph (and no one else) could solve the coming food problem. Then, he asked us to pray for people in leadership, that they might see what the people are seeing/suffering, and be humbled of GOD to surround themselves with solution providers – people who are better than themselves and their advisors, like Pharaoh acknowledged, and yielded to Joseph’s superlative wisdom/solution. Hallelujah

After the meeting, I thought more about what transpired between Pharaoh and Joseph on that faithful day, and saw GOD’S Providence written all over it. How could Pharaoh, probably the most powerful king of his time, have looked at Joseph – a slave and prisoner, and said of him in Genesis 41:38-44, “And Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?” Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Inasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is no one as discerning and wise as you. You shall be over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you.”

And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.” Then Pharaoh took his signet ring off his hand and put it on Joseph’s hand; and he clothed him in garments of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck. And he had him ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried out before him, “Bow the knee!” So he set him over all the land of Egypt. Pharaoh also said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh, and without your consent no man may lift his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.”

Wow! That’s GOD! He alone could have positioned a man that strategically. Psalms 105:16-17, says, “Moreover He called for a famine in the land; He destroyed all the provision of bread. He sent a man before them — Joseph — who was sold as a slave.” Genesis tells us that Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers, and that Potiphar’s wife had him thrown into prison under false accusations, but, Psalms 105:17 tells us that GOD sent him ahead of His People. Gracious GOD! May Psalms 26:7 become your song and testimony, “That I may proclaim with the VOICE OF THANKSGIVING, and tell of all YOUR WONDROUS WORKS.”, in JESUS MIGHTY NAME. Amen.
Have a blessed week.
