I read somewhere that Japan does not celebrate Teacher’s Day. Why?!!! This is what I found online. “For the teachers in Japan, there is no need to celebrate a special day for teachers as every day is an occasion dedicated to them only. Japan, to be specific, does not have a formal Teacher’s Day, but they do have a ceremony on October 1st where they pay their respects to their revered mentors.
There is a deep appreciation for the TEACHING PROFESSION in Japan, with educators being addressed with the honorable title of “Sensei”, a term that means, “A person born before you were.” It signifies someone who is elder and deserving of respect. It is a title of HONOR for people who teach something, and for specialists in their own fields. Can you see why there’s SO MUCH DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JAPAN and NIGERIA, and the rest of AFRICA!
There’s so much to learn from TEACHERS, and that’s why I value mine GREATLY, and have stayed connected to some 4 teachers who taught me in secondary school over 36 years ago. I celebrate my teachers, pastors and mentors. Teachers are nation/destiny builders, but our political leaders in Nigeria/Africa are too myopic and dense to realize that.
Please, find below what a resident put on our estate platform yesterday. May you learn from it, in JESUS MIGHTY NAME. Amen!
“I Went to my son’s school for something. The principal sent for him. It was break time, so he came in holding his popcorn nylon. Immediately we stepped out from the office, he brought forward the popcorn and said, “MUMMY, take some.” I said “No.” He asked, “Why?” And I replied that I didn’t want. As I was about leaving, the principal called me back, and also called my son back. She said I should take small popcorn from him. I looked at her and picked some. She told him to go, then turned to me and said, “Don’t tell him you don’t want something. Collect it, even if it’s small out of what he gives you. Encourage your children to give you things and always appreciate them each time they do so. They will make GIVING you something a lifestyle. When they grow up, you won’t have to beg before they GIVE you things. They won’t eat without thinking of you.”
I thanked her for the free, but life transforming lecture, and left.
GOD bless our TEACHERS.
SO AMAZING!!!”
Thus saith the LORD, “And I will give you SHEPHERDS (TEACHERS) according to My Heart, who will feed (teach/guide) you with KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING.” – Jeremiah 3:15.
