
The Governor of Lagos State, Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has announced that renowned businessman and philanthropist, Sir Kessington Adebutu, is committed to building a modern, befitting headquarters for the Lagos State Security Trust Fund LSSTF. The Governor revealed this during the 19th Lagos State Security Trust Fund LSSTF Annual Town Hall Meeting on Security with the Governor which was held in Lagos yesterday Thursday 11th December 2025.
The new headquarters will significantly enhance the operational efficiency of the LSSTF, providing improved working facilities for strategic planning, coordination, and engagement with security agencies. It will also boost the state’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its security architecture.
The announcement which was met with rounding applause from stakeholders, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu said: ‘Our father, Adebutu Kessington who is represented here by his son, Ajibola Adebutu, has assured us that by the time we are doing the 20th anniversary, we will be commissioning the brand new building for the Lagos State Security Trust Fund. It will be completed in 12 months. He deserves a big round of applause. Thank you very much, baba.’
Sir Adebutu’s intervention is long overdue as the security funding agency requires an upgraded administrative base to match the increasing demands of security management in a rapidly growing metropolis like Lagos.
Describing him ‘as one of the biggest donors to LSSTF’, Dr. Ogunsan expressed profound appreciation to Sir Adebutu for his continued support to Lagos and his unwavering commitment to public safety. He affirmed that the development reflects the power of private-sector partnership in driving sustainable security initiatives.
