The DPO of Ojodu Police division, CSP Elizabeth Opadola has hailed the leadership and the people of Ojodu community for the commitment shown to the Police in their environs. The superb police officer, Opadola who assumed leadership of Ojodu police division about 3 months ago noted that she has enjoyed a good working relationship which led to the development of a conference hall, PCRC building, flooring of the entire compound, 1 ambulance for the community, and the provision of 20kVA generator in the police facility in Ojodu, Lagos.

In her address at the commissioning ceremony, CSP Elizabeth Opadola said that the projects will be of benefit to the police and the community. ‘This is highly commendable and befitting for the community. This building will serve as a comfortable environment to hold stakeholders meetings, community meetings, lecture halls and so on.’.
On her strides since March 2024, Opadola said: ‘Ojodu division is bordered by Ojodu Abiodun Division HQ Ogun state to the West, Alausa Division HQ to the East, Isheri Division to the North, and Area G Command to the South. Ojodu division has been relatively calm with major crimes totally eradicated. This is achieved by the combined efforts of men and officers of the Ojodu Police and the support of the host community and the sound leadership of the Lagos CP, Adegoke Fayoade.’
On the success of the projects, she saluted Hon. James Abiodun Faleke aka koseleri whom she described as a ‘wonderful and inspirational figure endowed with intellect, an excellent administrator, a superb politician.’
In his speech at the commissioning ceremony, the federal legislator, Hon. Faleke remarked: ‘We are doing this because we believe in adequate policing. We believe if we give the Police the support they need, they will perform. To God be the Glory, Ojodu has been relatively calm. In addition to what we are doing, we are providing a free ambulance to bring people from emergency to the nearest hospital. We have tasked the LCDA to be the one responsible for the maintenance of the ambulance and payment of drivers. It is once the responsibility of the community. We don’t want any community to put it on hire, it must work within Ikeja. Ikeja will continue to shine and others will continue to follow.’

The Commissioner of Police in Lagos, CP Adegoke Fayoade urged the community not to relent in their support for the police. ‘It enhances the job of the Police, it makes our job seamless and our performance is improved upon which will good effect on members of the community. Once crime is low, business activities will thrive and standard of living will improve.’
