POPE LEO XIV

In his first Sunday Mass as the new Pontiff, Pope Leo XIV (real name: Robert Francis Prevost) has called for a ‘no more war’ scenario across the world.

Prevost, who was announced as new Pope last Thursday, made the renewed call as his late predecessor, Pope Francis always did during his lifetime.

Recognizing the devastating effects of the conflicts ongoing in various parts of the world, the new Pope stood on the balcony of St. Peter basilica to sue for peace. TheMediaGood Newspaper can report that he called for peace in Russia and Ukraine, negotiations for ceasefire in Gaza, while welcoming the truce reached in India and Pakistan.

Like his late predecessor, Prevost believes that the ongoing conflicts across the world are akin to ‘a third world war being fought piecemeal.’
