The Oyo State Government has issued a traffic advisory for the city of Ibadan and its environs. This is as the ancient city is set to crown its new Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja this weekend especially Friday 26th September 2025 which is the coronation day.
TheMediaGood Newspaper can report that there will be road closure from 7 am till later in the day in many parts of Ibadan. This includes Beere, Idi Arere, Itamerin, and the Mapo Hall axis of the city.
The coronation ceremony which will draw a large contingent of public officials, business moguls, Ibadan indigenes within Nigeria and in the Diaspora, is also expected to have the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Pres. Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR leading the pack. The Governor of Oyo State, Gov. Seyi Makinde who is the Chief Host is back from his annual leave to receive guests.
