Ogun State Recruits 1000 For Amotekun Corps | See How to Apply

Following the approval of the Governor of Ogun State, Gov. Dapo Abiodun, the Ogun State Security Network Agency, (Ogun Amotekun Corps) has announced the commencement of its 2026 recruitment exercise. This is to recruit an additional 1,000 personnel as part of deliberate efforts to reinforce community-based security operations across the State.

The new intake are expected to further deepen the operational capacity of the Corps across the 20 Local Government Areas, particularly in rural communities, border corridors, and other vulnerable flashpoints requiring enhanced surveillance and rapid intervention.

This is in line with the Network’s main focus of building a disciplined, professional, and community-oriented security outfit that complements other security agencies in maintaining peace and public order.

The Corps Commander, Ogun State Amotekun Corps, Brig Gen Alade I. Adedigba retd stated: “This recruitment initiative underscores the deliberate strategic security vision of the State Government, aimed at consolidating gains recorded in crime prevention, rapid response operations, and intelligence-driven policing at the grassroots, coming after almost 1,300 new operatives were recruited by the Corps in the previous year.”

The application window will be open from Thursday, February 26, to Friday, March 13, 2026, and applicants are advised to carefully review eligibility requirements, documentation guidelines, and physical standards before submission.

Following the application phase, a thorough screening exercise is scheduled to take place from Monday, March 23 to April 8, 2026.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to prepare adequately and follow the guidelines that will be provided to ensure a smooth screening process.

Adedigba added: “The Agency emphasizes that the recruitment process is strictly merit-based, transparent, and free. Members of the public are therefore cautioned against falling victim to fraudsters or unauthorized individuals demanding payment in connection with the exercise.”
