OGUN COMMISSIONER, ISIAKA URGES FOOTBALL FANS TO TROOP OUT FOR REMO STARS AGAINST MAMELODI SUNDOWNS

The Ogun State Commissioner for Sports Development, Mr. Wasiu Isiaka, has called on football fans to turn out in large numbers to cheer Remo Stars as they face South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns in a CAF Champions League qualifier.

The match holds tomorrow, Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 4 p.m. at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta.

Mr. Isiaka described the fixture as more than a game, calling it a celebration of Ogun talent and resilience. He expressed confidence that the fans’ support will inspire Remo Stars to showcase the true spirit of Ogun State and Nigeria on the continental stage.

TheMediaGood Newspaper can report that about six (6) players from the World Cup-bound South African national team, Bafana Bafana, also play for Mamelodi Sundowns. The South African club is ready for the showdown in Abeokuta.
