The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has donated Two thousand seven hundred and twenty (2,720) raincoats to the Nigerian Police Force, Lagos State Command; Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Taskforce, Marine Police, Governor’s Monitoring Team, and State Traffic Police.
This contribution aims to enhance the officers’ ability to perform their duties effectively during the rainy season. TheMediaGood Newspaper gathered that the high-quality raincoats will provide essential protection and comfort. This will ensure that the Police can continue their work in maintaining law and order despite adverse weather conditions.
A total of two thousand (2,000) high-quality raincoats was presented to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Adegoke Fayoade by the Director, Administration, Lagos State Security Trust Fund, LSSTF on behalf of the Fund at the Police Command Headquarters in Ikeja.
In the same vein, the Rapid Response Squad, RRS led by the Commander, CSP Shola Jejeloye got the donation of Five hundred (500) high-quality raincoats to enhance the operational efficiency and welfare of RRS officers, particularly during the rainy season. The provision of the raincoats will ensure that the RRS can continue to operate at a high level of efficiency, even in challenging weather conditions.
The same gesture was also extended to Lagos State Environment and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit (Taskforce) led by the Taskforce Chairman, CSP Akerele Adetayo, with the donation of One Hundred (100) quality raincoats.
Further, three other Police units viz. the Marine Police, Governor’s Monitoring Team, and State Traffic Police got 40, 30, and 50 quality raincoats respectively.
This initiative reflects LSSTF’s ongoing commitment to supporting the security infrastructure in Lagos State, and it will significantly improve the officers’ operational readiness and welfare.
