
In a move to strengthen partnerships with security stakeholders across Lagos State, the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, paid a courtesy visit to the State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Adekunle Mustapha Sego, at the union’s headquarters in Lagos.
The visit forms part of Dr. Ogunsan’s broader engagement strategy with key stakeholders whose operations significantly influence safety and security, and enhance intelligence gathering within the state’s transport corridors.
Dr. Ogunsan emphasized the strategic role of commercial transport operators in promoting peace, orderliness, and timely reporting of security threats across major motor parks and transit routes.
He noted that the LSSTF is committed to sustaining collaboration with grassroots institutions like the NURTW, describing them as vital partners in combating crime and supporting government efforts toward a safer Lagos.
In his response, Alhaji Mustapha Sego hailed the LSSTF boss for extending the hand of fellowship and reaffirmed the union’s readiness to cooperate with security agencies. He pledged the NURTW’s support in ensuring discipline among members and facilitating information flow that aids crime prevention.
