
Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro has formally presented the Lagos State Government appointment letter to the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, marking the official confirmation of his leadership role at the Fund. The formal presentation which was held today Monday 2nd March 2026 sets the tone for an accelerated phase of security-focused innovations and interventions under the LSSTF.
This move reinforces the Lagos administration’s confidence in Dr. Ogunsan’s vision and capacity to drive the state’s security interventions.
It would be recalled that the appointment of Dr. Ayo Ogunsan into the LSSTF top role was made by the Governor of Lagos State, Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, effective immediately on Friday, 31st of October 2025.
Since assuming the office just over 100 days ago, Dr. Ogunsan has recorded remarkable achievements that have significantly boosted Lagos’ security architecture. Under his stewardship, the LSSTF has strengthened operational support for key security agencies through the provision of patrol vehicles, logistics, equipment, and improved inter-agency coordination.
His leadership has also deepened private-sector collaboration, yielding expanded resource mobilization and enhanced security partnerships that continue to impact the safety landscape of the state.
While presenting the appointment letter, Agoro commended Dr. Ogunsan’s pace of performance, describing his early accomplishments as evidence of capable and strategic leadership. He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to empowering the LSSTF to fulfill its mandate of supporting security agencies across Lagos.
Dr. Ogunsan expressed gratitude to the Governor and the Lagos State Government for the trust reposed in him, reiterating his commitment to intensifying security support initiatives and delivering measurable results that align with the state’s vision of a safer and more resilient Lagos.
