In celebration of the International Day of the Girl, the Honourable Minister (State) for Police Affairs, Hajia Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim gets 11-year-old Miss Ehi Linus to take the ministerial role for a few hours. TheMediaGood Newspaper can report that Miss Ehi Linus, student of the Police Day Secondary School, Area 11, Abuja got this opportunity in line with Hajia Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim’s strong belief in the limitless potential of young girls’ to lead and shape the future.

The press release of Bolaji O. Kazeem, the Ministry’s Deputy Director (Information & Public Relations Unit) informed that this development took place during the recent International Day of the Girl Child celebration, hosted by the Minister of State for a students’ delegation from the Police Day Secondary School, Area 11, led by their Commandant, DSP Mariam Damilola Yusuf, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abuja.

The Minister of State highlighted the importance of empowering young women by ensuring their good education, counselling, and safety as well as active participation in science, technology, engineering, Arts, and Mathematics subjects. She reaffirmed her dedication to fostering an inclusive environment where every girl child can realize her full potential and contribute meaningfully to national development.

Imaan encouraged the students to be serious about their education, increase their imagination, and creativity,and improve on their can-do attitude as well as thinking big toward the future. Her words, ‘The ongoing Renewed hope Police Reforms within the primary and secondary schools in the police ecosystem is a strong commitment of the government to drive excellence in the police institutions and make them a choice school in the country.’

The Minister added that through dialogue and encouragement, the event served as a powerful reminder of the need to invest in the growth and empowerment of the next generation of female leaders.
