Heirs Energies, an indigenous integrated energy company, has acquired the entire 20.07 percent equity stake previously owned by Maurel & Prom S.A. in Seplat Energy Plc.
TheMediaGood Newspaper can report that that this deal amounts to a whopping 120.4 million ordinary shares.
The deal was conducted at a price of GBP3.05 pence per share, valuing the transaction at approximately US$500 million, according to a statement today Wednesday 31st December.
It would be recalled that Heirs Energy secured a loan of US$750 million from Afreximbank about a week ago.
