The Executive Chairman of Agege Local Government, Hon. Abdul-Ganiyu Vinod Obasa, has convened the council’s second management meeting to review progress recorded so far, assess ongoing initiatives and realign strategies aimed at improving service delivery across the local government.

The meeting, which brought together heads of departments and key management staff, focused on performance evaluation, project implementation and administrative coordination, as the council intensifies efforts to deliver measurable outcomes for residents.

Speaking at the session, Obasa said effective governance demands continuous assessment, strategic planning and strong teamwork, noting that periodic management reviews remain critical to achieving results at the grassroots.

“Governance is not static. It requires constant evaluation, strategic thinking and team cohesion. These management sessions ensure that every department is accountable, every project is on track and every decision we take is data-driven and result-oriented,” he said.

According to the Chairman, the meeting provided an opportunity to interrogate existing programmes, identify gaps and align departmental activities with the administration’s broader development agenda for Agege.

He stressed that the Council’s focus remains on execution, efficiency and impact, adding that policies and projects must translate into tangible improvements in the daily lives of residents.

“Our responsibility is to deliver results that people can see and feel. We remain committed to efficient service delivery, inclusive governance and practical solutions that advance Agege,” Obasa added.

Officials at the meeting were urged to sustain collaboration across departments and maintain a high sense of responsibility in the implementation of council programmes.

The Agege Local Government leadership reaffirmed its resolve to continue strengthening internal governance structures, insisting that disciplined planning, accountability and consistency would remain the driving forces behind its development efforts.
