The festival will bring together corporate organizations, nonprofits, volunteers, and members of the public to promote generosity, collaboration, and community service across Nigeria.

Speaking at the media launch in Lagos, Folakemi Adesina, Country Lead of GivingTuesday Nigeria and founder of Do Good Charity Initiative, described the event as a milestone in advancing the spirit of generosity nationwide.

“The Giving Festival is more than charity, it’s about building a culture of generosity. For the first time, Nigerians from all sectors can come together to celebrate and practice giving as one community.”

The Giving Festival 2025 will provide an opportunity for collaboration, learning, and volunteerism, with a focus on communities that rarely benefit from large-scale charity initiatives.

The Giving Festival 2025 will also feature:

• A CSR Village showcasing corporate social responsibility initiatives.

• Nonprofit booths highlighting grassroots impact projects.

• Community activations including health checks, learning sessions, and giveaways.

• Volunteer-driven engagements promoting kindness and inclusion.

Organizers also plan to collect data from the event to measure impact and guide future initiatives, reinforcing transparency and accountability.

Public awareness will be driven through media partnerships, digital campaigns, and collaborations with influencers, volunteers, and content creators using the hashtags #GivingTuesdayNigeria and #GivingFestival.

A dedicated website has also been created to provide information and registration access for interested partners and volunteers.

Launched in 2012 in the United States, GivingTuesday is now a global movement inspiring millions to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Since 2019, GivingTuesday Nigeria has led impactful campaigns such as GivingRamadan, Generosity of Books, GivingVoices, and GivingSeeds, reaching thousands of children, families, and communities nationwide. The festival is open to the public, with opportunities for companies to participate as partners, sponsors, or exhibitors.
