The Federal Government of Nigeria has appointed Mr. Ben Iloanusi as the acting Managing Director of the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC). This decision follows the conclusion of Fidet Okhiria’s tenure as the MD. Okhiria completed his second four-year term on October 18 and has officially handed over to Iloanusi, TheMediaGood Newspaper can report.
The Deputy Director of Public Relations at NRC, Yakub Mahmood announced the appointment in a statement yesterday Sunday.
Iloanusi, who joined the NRC in 2011, is the most senior executive director in the organization and has served as the deputy director of procurement since 2019. He holds a degree in political science from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and an MBA in international management from South Bank University, London.
In his farewell remarks, Okhiria expressed gratitude to the NRC staff for their support during his tenure and encouraged them to extend the same cooperation to his successor.
Iloanusi, in turn, requested the support of NRC employees and welcomed constructive feedback to help advance the organization.
