For his immense impact in national growth, passionate investment to education, and commitment to social entrepreneurship and development of humanity, the Centre of Digital Humanities, University of Lagos (CEDHUL) on Wednesday 17th July announced the appointment of the Chairman/CEO of Executive Group, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan as Member of its advisory board. The decision was conveyed in a letter signed by the Director of the Centre, Prof. Tunde Ope-Davies on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, the Ag. Director, Research Management Office, and the rest of the academic community.
The letter from Nigeria’s university of first choice hailed Dr. Ogunsan for ‘your pedigree and impressive profile as a successful and accomplished industry player, illustrious social entrepreneur, and passionate investor in the education and mentoring of young people.’
With the recognition, the letter informed the LSSTF board member, Dr. Ogunsan that ‘you have been appointed as a Member of the Advisory Board of the Centre of our Digital Humanities, University of Lagos (CEDHUL). This appointment is a key component of the university policy of connecting ‘Town and Gown’ and in line with international best practice that will enable our students and scholars to benefit from the skills and experience of successful industry players, public officers, experienced mentors, and career coaches.’
With this appointment into this non-executive position at the university, CEDHUL ‘looks forward to your counsel, support, and goodwill towards our academic, research, and community service mandate’, Prof. Tunde Ope-Davies urged Dr. Ayo Ogunsan.
