(Kindly Read Everything)
It’s interesting to read in Acts 13:15, that, after the reading of the Law and the Prophets in the synagogue in Antioch, the temple leaders sent a message to Paul and Barnabas, saying to them, “Men and brethren, if you have any WORD of EXHORTATION/ENCOURAGEMENT for the people, say on.” What an invitation! What an opportunity to be a BLESSING.

In JUST JESUS FOUNDATION and RIGHT MINDS FOUNDATION, we ALWAYS have a WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT and HOPE for the people we come in contact with, either virtually or in real time. We are particularly passionate about IMPACTING the lives of the YOUTHS in tertiary institutions in Nigeria. That is the reason why we created the ‘SHARED EXPERIENCE SERIES (SES),’ where we bring facilitators to share their experiences (successes and failures) with the youths so they can learn, ask questions and pick lessons from their stories.
The first edition of SES held on 28th September 2024. The facilitator was Pharm Yinka Adeyemi. She was asked to withdraw when going to Part 4 at the University of Ife. She retreated to Ibadan, enrolled for A Level, wrote JAMB again, and gained admission to the University of Ibadan in the early nineties. She’s a successful pharmacist today.
The second edition came up on 23rd November 2024. The facilitators were the husband and wife duo of Professor Sola Ojurongbe and Professor (Mrs) Taiwo Ojurongbe. They told the gruelling story of how they bagged their M.Sc and Ph.D degrees. They are accomplished professors/lecturers today.
The third edition was on 14th June 2025. The facilitator was Engr. Jimi Taiwo, who, as a student at the University of Ibadan in the early nineties, was very sickly, but overcame his health challenges and came close to making First Class in the Industrial Engineering Department. He was the Country Lead for PepsiCo, Nigeria, until a year or two ago. All three held at the University of Ibadan.
The next one is slated for August 30th, 2025. We’re bringing Mr. Yomi Oyelami – a Sickle Cell Warrior, who has consistently surmounted the hurdles of living with the blood disorder for over 40 years. He’s a Communications Professional, a Genetic Counselor, and a Health Educator.
Yomi is the Editor of TheMediaGood Newspaper, and the Communications Officer for Sickle Cell Advocacy and Management Initiative (SAMI). Everyone needs to hear his many inspiring stories of overcoming the challenges of sickle cell.
