AFS Youth Assembly has announced the opening of applications for the 2026 Sir Cyril Taylor Young African Leaders Program, an initiative designed to empower emerging changemakers across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Supported by a Grant from the Sir Cyril Taylor Charitable Foundation, the program will select 10 outstanding young leaders aged 18 to 35 who are driving social impact aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
With Africa’s youthful population accounting for nearly 70 per cent under the age of 30, the program responds to global calls, including by the United Nations, to invest in youth-led solutions to development challenges.
Selected participants will receive capacity-building support, seed funding, and access to global networks, and will be formally recognized as Sir Cyril Taylor Young African Leaders.
Participants must be able to attend the Youth Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland, from August 12 to 14, 2026.
