
The former Lagos Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), DCM Hyginus Omeje today bowed out of the road safety agency with his heads raised high, beaming with smiles, and in full colours, after meritorious years of service, protecting lives and properties on the nation’s roads.
His valedictory session was conducted yesterday Monday 9th March at the FRSC National HQ, Abuja with leading road marshals across the country led by the Corp Marshal Shehu Mohammed, his family, friends and associates present in high spirits.

The gathering presented a special moment to accord honor to an honorable man, Omeje, It served as a moment of joy, reflection, gratitude, and celebration for a distinguished career defined by discipline, professionalism, and commitment to safer roads across Nigeria.

The Corp Marshal Shehu Mohammed, members of the FRSC top management team and other colleagues took their turn to celebrate the highly influential road marshal, Hyginus Omeje who was an embodiment of road safety, civility, dignity, and empathy throughout his active years of service. They acknowledged the strategic leadership and operational excellence he brought to the Corps’ mandate of protecting lives on the nation’s highways.
As Deputy Corps Marshal in charge of Operations, Hyginus Omeje formally bow out of active service, he leaves behind a legacy of dedication, courage, and impactful service that strengthened the operational capacity of the FRSC and inspired a generation of officers.
His contributions to road safety administration and enforcement as well as media development will continue to resonate within the Corps and beyond.
The Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed wishes him a fulfilling and well-deserved retirement. He is confident that all the values that Omeje upheld will continue to be a guiding light for the organisation.
