CELEBRATING THE ONIBOKUN BABES

Share

When we were much younger, my father told us about an uncle who would go to the hospital, and beat up his wife for giving birth to ‘another girl!’ They supposedly had five or more daughters. Well, like I said yesterday at the THANKSGIVING SERVICE, “He’s lucky he was long dead before I heard the story; I would have beaten him to death myself. ‘Ma lu pa yanyan, tio ni mi mo!’” And, there are still some useless, mindless, bully husbands, like that ‘uncle’ in the world today. Men like that should be castrated, and then, incarcerated!

To think there are many couples out there, praying, “Lord GOD! Give us a child, any child: boy or girl!” The LORD gives GOOD GIFTS, and blesses with the fruits of the womb. What you do with them is up to you, and the fear of the LORD in your heart. A girl child can become anything, and more, that her male counterpart can be. There is no greater proof of that submission, than the ONIBOKUN BABES – Five sisters from the same parents, and they all have Doctorate (Ph.D) degrees. I think they should be in the Guiness Records, for the highest number of FEMALE Ph.D holders from the same parents.

THE ONIBOKUN BABES

These are ladies, like the daughters of Zelophehad (Numbers 36:5–12, Joshua 17:3–6).), who have done their father proud and kept his inheritance secure. They are Adefoyeke, Adetunmbi, Taiwo Adetola, Kehinde Adefiola, and Adejoke; with one being a Professor, now. They are all successful academicians, and happily married to loving, supportive husbands. I honored them at my June 12 THANKSGIVING SERVICE, yesterday. Let’s celebrate the ONIBOKUN BABES jo!

NB: Please, if you know any husband like my ‘uncle’ above, kindly call me. I’ll arrange to have angel Michael and the Host of Heaven pay him a visit. ‘For hin life, he no go try am again’, if he lives to tell the story!
