
The Agege Chairmanship race hots up today as chairmanship aspirant for the upcoming general elections in Agege LGA, Hon. Taiwo Olasunkanmi Samuel fondly called TOS today became one of the first aspirants to pick their nomination forms to run for the coveted position. This was done at the Lagos State Secretariat of his party, All Progressives Congress (APC) on Acme Road, Lagos to the admiration of his family, friends, followers, and party men.
Speaking after picking the nomination form, Hon. Taiwo stated that he picked the form as proof of his readiness to go all the way through the electioneering process. ‘I am here today to pick my form for the Chairmanship to show that I am ready to become the next Chairman of Agege LGA and by the special Grace of God, it is an indication that I am ready for victory.’
‘I have a great agenda for Agege. I want a lot of development for Agege. I have major areas that I want to concentrate. This is in the area of infrastructure, youth empowerment, and healthcare. Education is also very vital to me as an educationist and the future of our children is paramount to me. I will make sure that everybody in Agege is carried along not just the leader but every ward will be involved in the development of our streets. Security of our people is also a priority.’
On whether he is eminently qualified to run for the job, Hon. TOS affirmed that he is a son of Agege and thus has the right to vote and be voted for in the city. ‘I am a son of the soil. I was born in Gbogunleri, Isale-Oja, Agege, schooled in Agege for my primary education at Central Primary School, Oniwaya and proceeded to Anwar-ul-Islam College, Agege where I finished WASSCE in 1993. I then proceeded to Yaba College of Technology where I bagged OND and HND in Electrical/Electronics Engineering specialised in Telecommunications. I am ready for the job.’
