With the kind of feedback that continues to trail the two articles on Prof. Oyegbola Durojaiye’s exemplary CHRIST-LIKE lifestyle, (because, that’s what a TRUE CHRISTIAN is – CHRIST-LIKE), this trilogy has become especially needful. Next year will make it 30 years that our dearly beloved brother, and father, ‘graduated’ to join the Cloud of Witnesses above. 30 years, and his Life (even in death) continues to witness, and inspire. 30 years! O LORD, let me be known, and renowned, for GOOD WORKS, done with CHRIST-LIKE HUMILITY and COMPASSION. Unlike many who profess CHRIST with their mouths, and loudspeakers, Prof. Durojaiye showed forth the Lord by his conduct and service to THE MASTER. He was a man from GOD, a man for GOD, and to his GOD he hurriedly returned. What a wonderful man! What a good example of what CHRISTIANITY is all about.
Rev. Samuel Olufadewa wrote, “When looking for a true and genuine Christian, he was one — full of humility, love, passion for souls, caring for brethren, and a great counselor, as the Bible had been inscribed on his heart. I remember vividly when he stood in for Prof Adesogan at my wedding reception…………
As the Head of the Counseling Unit of Oritamefa Baptist Church, Total Garden lbadan, then, l also, as a member of the Unit, learnt a lot about Christian Counseling from him. His SELFLESSNESS robbed on many of us in IVCU, as he was our first port of call when any invited minister disappointed us by not coming. Just give him the topic of the sermon, and you would thank GOD that the other minister did not come. *Lord, give us more of such men today. NO! NO! Rather, GOD, make us like such men of old today, in JESUS NAME. Amen!”
Brother Charles Oyawale wrote, “Oh yes, I was also at that memorable Wake-keep/Service of songs, and heard the testimonies given by the University’s junior staff members that he related with. A few years ago, I started searching the internet to see if I could obtain more information about him. He was a very simple person that many of us looked up to as young Christians!”
And, Pastor Dominic Ugboke, who didn’t even know him, reading the articles, and comments on Facebook, submitted, “Proverbs 10:7, “The memory of the JUST is blessed.” Rest on great Soldier of CHRIST.”
I have been led to share these articles and comments with you for a reason that GOD (and possibly you) knows. Prof. Gbola Durojaiye was, and remains, a GOOD example of what a TRUE CHRISTIAN should be like in today’s world. If he lived/walked like CHRIST, and transited like a saint/angel, then, we have no reason, whatsoever, to be lukewarm, worldly or unfaithful. Be challenged by this uncommon disciple, and his timeless TESTIMONIES.
It is well!
Selah!!
