
As security and safety considerations across Nigeria continues to take priority, Lagos State is not leaving situation to chance. This is why the government is organizing the Lagos Campus Security & Safety Summit 1.0, a statewide students’ conference to strengthen campus protection systems and curb the rise of social vices in tertiary institutions.
The man at the helms of Nigeria’s foremost public-private partnership initiative for security funding, Lagos State Security Trust Fund LSSTF, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan will headline the event as its keynote speaker. He will speak on the theme ‘Strengthening Strategic Security Operations towards Curbing Security Threats and Social Vices on Campus.’
His address will examine key concerns such as emerging security threats, preventive safety strategies, and the importance of collaboration between government agencies, school administrators, and students.
In addition to the keynote session, the Summit will feature a special lecture from the guest speaker, Prof. Adedeji S. Oyenuga, the Professor of Criminology at Lagos State University (LASU).
The event, hosted by the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Hon. Tolani Sule, will hold on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the MRC Hall, LASUCOM, Ikeja.
Students from tertiary institutions across Lagos are encouraged to participate, as the event represents a major step toward enhancing safety consciousness and promoting a culture of vigilance.
