
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has concluded the draw for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) finals, setting the stage for a thrilling continental showdown in Morocco. With today’s draws, Africa is poised for yet another footballing masterpiece for Africa from 17th of March to 3rd of April 2026. This is as the men’s counterpart competition, AFCON 2025, rounds off this weekend in Morocco.
Hosts Morocco will headline Group A slugging it out against North African archrival, Algeria as well as Senegal, and Kenya in a group that blends experience with emerging talent.
South Africa face a competitive test in Group B against Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, and Tanzania.
Group C has already drawn widespread attention, with Africa’s most successful women side holding 10 titles and defending champion, Nigeria is set up to battle Zambia, Egypt, and Malawi in what many consider as the potential “group of death” of the competition.
Group D pairs former champions Ghana and Cameroon with Mali and Cape Verde, promising intense, physical contests.
Matches will be played across four Moroccan venues including Moulay Al Hassan and Al Madina Stadiums in Rabat, Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, and the Complexe Sportif de Fès.
