For several years, I have lived with the conviction that one man/woman (especially one with GOD) can make a huge difference in whatever they set out to change. That belief came from Acts 8:5&8, “Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached CHRIST to them……… And there was great joy in that city.” Philip was just one man, yet, his work touched/affected the whole city. If you’ll start, and persist, and never quit, you’ll make a great difference in the Cause you pursue. Change the world by changing a life, TODAY!
My mentor told us on Saturday how a young man walked up to him in Owerri, knelt down and said, “Sir, my parents told me that the N2,500 you gave them when I was sick saved my life 29 years ago. The man you saved 29 years ago has come to say thank you sir.” That made him emotional, and left him wondering, “So, N2,500 can save a life?!” Your little effort can make a big difference! Despise not the days/acts of little beginning.
I got very encouraging feedback on Saturday and Sunday, from touched/blessed hearts, that our daily messages are making remarkable difference in their lives. It all began with few words on paper, and 160 character SMSs, in 1995 and 2001 respectively. To GOD alone be all the Glory. Reach out and HELP someone, NOW!
As you embark on the fulfilling task of making a difference in your life, family, organization, and even country, take in the following words of wisdom: “He (GOD) makes us wait. He keeps us on purpose in the dark. He makes us walk when we want to run, sit still when we want to walk, for He has things to do in our souls that we are not interested in.” – Elisabeth Elliot.
That calls for patience. Walk patiently with GOD, and humanity.
“The more believers are willing to leave their own comfort zone and be genuinely comfortable with people from diverse backgrounds, the more the Lord can use them to minister to others.” – Henry Hon.
You must be ‘color blind’ and totally detribalized if you desire to change people, and anything else.
“If believers would consider ministry to occur ‘where two or three’ are gathered unto His name, all sorts of opportunities, throughout the day and week, would open up” – Unknown
Have a gracious day.
