JUBILATION AS NINE REMAINING GUSAU STUDENTS REGAIN FREEDOM

The ugly story of the kidnap of students of the Federal University Gusau, Zamfara state can now be laid to rest among the litany of abductions of schoolchildren which have become almost a regular incidence in Nigeria since April 2014 when the Chibok Girls were kidnapped. This is because the nine remaining female students of the Zamfara University were released today, TheMediaGood Newspaper can report.

The university students, 24 in all, were kidnapped from their campus on Friday 22nd September 2023. They were however rescued at different intervals till the last 9 which happened today Sunday, 17th March 2024.

Jacob Hassan, father of Naomi one of the 9 released, confirmed the release in a telephone conversation with AIT News. He also added that the girls have been transferred to Abuja.
