Temptations are not recorded in the Bible as historical facts, they actually still happen today. Such is the case of Nigerian veteran gospel singer and songwriter, Panam Percy Paul, TheMediaGood Newspaper can report.

PANAM PERCY PAUL,
Nigerian veteran Gospel singer and songwriter

The Nigerian veteran gospel singer and songwriter who blessed the world with songs such as ‘Lord we are sorry, bring down your Glory’, ‘Master of the universe’, ‘Come let’s praise the Lord’ among others revealed how he was tempted to remove the name of Jesus from his songs in a deal worth NGN 7 billion. He made the shocking revelation in a recent interview.

Panam stated that he unequivocally rejected the whopping sum of £24m (NGN 7 billion) record deal that wanted him to remove Jesus from his songs.

Panam Percy Paul revealed the tempting question. Hear him; ‘The catch was, ‘Can you reduce the number of times you call the name Jesus in your songs?’

One of them even said to me, ‘You actually don’t need to mention the name Jesus. You can call Him other names.’

I was shocked, so I told them, ‘You can keep the money while I keep the name.’”

‘Today, the extreme is that the music ministry has now become a music industry. The industry now dictates to the ministers what to do, how to sing, and when to sing’, Panam stated.
