
The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu today Tuesday 28th January 2025 received the new State Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), Enugu State, Mr. Humphrey Ohikuare, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office at the Enugu State Police Command HQ, GRA, Enugu State. The familiarization visit of the DSS Director and his team also had in attendance members of the Enugu CP’s management team, TheMediaGood Newspaper can report.
The press release of the Enugu Police PRO, SP Daniel Ndukwe noted that the Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu reaffirmed the commitment of the Police to fostering a stronger partnership and seamless collaboration with the DSS.

While describing the Nigeria Police and the DSS as “two inseparable sides of the same coin”, the CP highlighted the importance of synergy between the two agencies. He emphasised that effective security management relies on mutual understanding and cooperation among security stakeholders.
In his remarks, the new Enugu DSS chief, Mr. Humphrey Ohikuare expressed gratitude for the warm reception and explained that his visit was to formally introduce himself and solicit the continued support and cooperation of the Police in maintaining the security of Enugu State.
The meeting provided an opportunity for fruitful interaction and a reaffirmation of shared goals in ensuring the safety and security of Enugu State.
