I was moved to write this piece because of what Oleksandr Oleksandrovych Usyk, the Ukrainian professional boxer, said, “I am not motivated by money. Money is probably the easiest of all the resources to earn. My goal is to live my life to be useful to the world I live in. You can’t just keep putting money in your own pockets and doing everything for yourself. When you die, there are no pockets inside your coffin. When you stand in front of your FINAL JUDGE, only your real deeds will be valued – not how much you earned, but what you really did.” That’s something to THINK about!
That pugilist has more understanding than many of my church-going brethren. Lack of understanding produces poor ATTITUDE, CHARACTER and BEHAVIOR. How many ‘churchy or mosquey people’ can say, “I am not motivated by money………My goal is to live my life to be USEFUL to the world I live in?” Money is NEVER man’s greatest need nor his biggest challenge. O NO! It is ATTITUDE – THE RIGHT ATTITUDE! Do you have a Good, Godly ATTITUDE?!
Like a wonderful Man of GOD said recently, “Competence can bring us in, but Chemistry (ATTITUDE, CHARACTER, the ABILITY to RELATE well with others) will keep us in the job. Of all your greatest NEEDS this year, aside GOD, having the RIGHT ATTITUDE ranks highest. Prayerfully cultivate the RIGHT ATTITUDE towards Life: people, work, money, relationships, and especially, GOD. Much won’t change in your life/story this 2025 if your poor ATTITUDE and terrible INTERPERSONAL/PEOPLE SKILLS remain the same.
