Portuguese legend, Cristiano Ronaldo has been recognized by the UEFA as the all-time leading scorer at the UEFA Champions League. Former Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon also received the 2024 UEFA President’s Award. The recognition for the duo was made at the UEFA Champions League group stage draw in Monaco today Thursday 29th August, 2024.
Ronaldo, synonymous with excellence in European football, was presented with the prestigious honour by UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin, further cementing his status as the Champions League’s all-time top scorer.
Ronaldo’s unparalleled achievements, including his 140 goals in 183 appearances, have left an indelible mark on the competition’s history.
