1446 A.H. NEW YEAR MESSAGE TO ALL MUSLIMS – HON. DR. SHINA PELLER
“Dear fellow Muslims,
“As we embark on this sacred journey into the Islamic new year (Hijrah 1446 A.H), I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt wishes to each and every one of you. This momentous occasion marks the beginning of a new chapter in our spiritual lives, filled with opportunities for growth, reflection, and renewal.
“The Hijrah, the migration of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) from Mecca to Medina, serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of seeking a better life in pursuit of faith and truth. It teaches us resilience, unity, and the unwavering commitment to upholding our beliefs in the face of adversity.
“On this auspicious day, let us come together as a community bound by faith, compassion, and a shared devotion to Allah. Let us emulate the virtues of patience, kindness, and understanding in our interactions with one another, fostering harmony and goodwill in our society.
“As we look ahead to the upcoming year, let us strive to embody the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in our daily lives, embracing his example of love, mercy, and righteousness. Let us stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters around the world, offering support, empathy, and assistance to those in need.
“May the blessings of Allah be upon us as we embark on this new chapter of spiritual growth and enlightenment. May our hearts be filled with gratitude, our minds with wisdom, and our souls with peace as we navigate the path ahead.
“In conclusion, no society can progress meaningfully without peace. As faith would have it, Islam means peace; so as Muslims, we must continue to do everything in our capacity to promote peaceful coexistence among mankind irrespective of religious, social, ethnic and political affiliation.
“Very importantly, we must learn to live, work and relate harmoniously with our fellow beings who choose Christianity and others as their preferred religions.
“Wishing you a blessed and prosperous year ahead.”
