Reading Mark 15 yesterday, something profound struck me; verses 6, 7 and 15 say, “Now at the feast he (Pilate) was accustomed to releasing one prisoner to them, whomever they requested. And there was one named Barabbas, who was chained with his fellow rebels; they had committed murder in the rebellion……So Pilate, wanting to gratify the crowd, released Barabbas to them; and he delivered Jesus, after he had scourged Him, to be crucified.”
Did you see it? WHAT HAPPENED TO BARABBAS’S fellow rebels that he was chained with? Barabbas was released, but what became of the other people that followed him in rebellion? Hmmm! Never raise your voice, hand, resource or influence, for or against anyone/anything without PERSONAL CONVICTION. When the chips are down, only your CONVICTION will sustain you. Stop being a follow-follow! Stop being an echo!
JESUS called you to be an ORIGINAL, don’t die an imitation. Don’t ruin your life fighting a battle that is not yours, that you have no business with! Stop running a race you shouldn’t even be in. Get your bearings and directions from The HOLY SPIRIT, The Author and Finisher of everything that concerns your life. Think on these things as you go seeking GOD in worship today.
